“Space Harvest: the Massacre at Sandia Prime” was created entirely in two days over the weekend of August 9-11, 2024. The genre “Sci-fi” was randomly assigned at the beginning of the competition along with a required prop (canteloupe), line (Let’s go. I’m in a hurry.), and character (Eleanore Parkerton, life coach). Starring Jerry Vogel, Bill Parmentier, Tara Bopp, Garrett Henry, and Sam Stillman, the movie was produced as part of the St. Louis, MO competition.
The movie won four prizes in the St. Louis competition: Best Actor (Jerry Vogel), Best Sound Design, Best Special Effects, and Second Place.
