Drip
This past week at work I got to work on a commercial for a new “haunted experience” in town. I directed, shot, and edited a 30-second spot for “Drip” which stars my brother David and his friend Avery Anderson.
Equipment: Canon 5D Mark II at 1080p30, 50mm 1.4 lens, H4N Zoom Recorder with shotgun mic, Various flashlights
The spot took about four hours to shoot, including 31 takes of the first shot. Much to the dismay of David, I ended up using take number 14 in the final cut. :D
I edited the commercial over three days using Final Cut Pro and After Effects, utilizing Andrew Kramer’s Twitch plugin for some added effects.
My co-worker, Brent Johnson contributed some awesome sound design while Patrick Vaughan provided the animated logo.
The commercial is airing locally on MTV, ABC Family, and SyFy.

Howl O Scream
Last night / this morning I helped out with a shoot for Busch Gardens’ “Howl O Scream” Halloween event. I was responsible for managing all of the footage, and I took a bunch of pictures and behind-the-scenes video when I wasn’t busy.
The shoot lasted from 5:30 Tuesday afternoon until 3:00 Wednesday morning. The 30 second spot was shot on the Sony EX3.
Photos taken on the Canon 5D Mark II with Canon EF 50mm f1.4 Lens.
